Bhutan The Untouched Kingdom

Join us at Changi Airport, T3, to experience Bhutan through the lens of our photographers and take part in fun activities such as archery and photo taking. Changi Airport, in collaboration with Tourism Council of Bhutan and Druk Asia, is having a Bhutan photo exhibition at Changi Airport. The exhibition will last from 1st September to 23 September 2012.

Visitors also stand a chance of winning a four days and three nights stay in Bhutan sponsored by Druk Asia. To take part in this lucky draw, visitors would just have to answer a very simple question that can be found in the booth. Travelers can also immerse themselves in Bhutanese culture and experience such as archery, photo taking in Bhutanese traditional costume and games.

The following photographers, some of whom have traveled to Bhutan with Druk Asia, make the photo exhibition possible.

Lim Kok Wee Kok Wee set up Photonic (www.Photoinc.sg) in 2009, specializing in People Photography and Product Photography. I his free time, he enjoys watching movies and working on personal photography projects in Fashion and Travel genres. Kok Wee traveled to Bhutan twice with Druk Asia in 2010 and 2011.

Ong Su Hong A gifted photographer, wider traveler and keen observer, Su Hong captures unique perspectives through his lenses. Once an event photographer, Su Hong now prefers nature and candid, real-life photography. He possesses a passion for environmental sustainability and humanitarian issues and hopes that photography can one day be used to benefit these global challenges. Su Hong traveled with Druk Asia to Bhutan in 2011.

Yeong Wee Tan Wee Tan is a well-traveled and passionate photographer who believes in transforming lives through the magic of images. In addition to leading Photography Expeditions to exotic places off beaten paths, he founded PHOTOkids (www.photokidsz.org), a community project to inspire children to greatness with donated cameras and volunteers. PHOTOkidsz runs in Bhutan.

Punap Ugyen Wangchuk Punap was born in 1972 in Thambi, a remote village in Punakha district, the ancient capital of Bhutan. He has led numerous cultural, trekking and photographic trips for the past nine years and has published two books, ’ Bhutan - Portraits and landscape’ and ’Authentic Bhutanese cookbook’.   Kinlay Dhendup Born in 1979 in Thimphu, Bhutan, Kinlay graduated in Art, Design and Multimedia from Dhaka University and the University of Creative Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Passionate about introducing his country to the outside world, he leads Como cultural and photography tours.
